Sidechain carving for bass. Gets the bass out of the way of your kick and snare, then puts it straight back.

Put it on your bass track and feed it a drum on the sidechain. Every time the drum hits, RingWorm95 moves the bass out of the way. Between hits your bass passes through untouched.

• Duck: draw the volume shape the bass follows on each hit. The classic sidechain pump, but you set the exact curve.
• Ring: the bass gets carved by the kick’s own waveform, cycle by cycle, so the kick’s low end and your sub stop fighting.
• Clip Guard: keeps bass + drum at or under 0 dB on the master. It only ever turns the bass down, never the drum.
• Presets: DnB 174, Amen, Kick, Snare, Techno, House and Full Break, plus your own.

Made for drum & bass, jungle and neurofunk, with techno and house presets too. Works on any bass: subs, reeses, 808s, rumbles.

Not sure which one? Get 64-bit. Almost every current DAW is 64-bit, and a 32-bit plugin won’t load in one. The 32-bit build is only for older 32-bit DAWs.

Install

1. Unzip the download.
2. Copy the whole RingWorm95.vst3 folder into C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. For the 32-bit build on 64-bit Windows, use C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3 instead.
3. Open your DAW and rescan plugins. In FL Studio: Options > Manage plugins > Find plugins. It shows up as “RingWorm95” by fx-idk.

Windows or your browser may warn that the file is from an unknown publisher. That’s because the plugin isn’t code-signed, which is normal for free plugins. The full setup guide, presets and how-tos are in the manual.
